Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)

This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 86.0/100, a mean average of 85.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 86.1/100. The standard deviation for this track is 12.0.

I absolutely love the guitar on this. It's probably my favourite piece of guitar music ever. Yes the lyrics don't really fit such a beautiful piece of music (I do like the lyrics, but they are jokey and sarcastic, I think more serious lyrics would have been a better fit), but I can overlook that. 100/100

Many people believes a more "epic" song like "There is a light" would have made a better closer to the album, but I'm perfectly fine with "Some girls"... This song is among the 5 best Smtihs songs ever, the jiggling guitar layers at the end are just dazzling.

Something about that last minute is just mesmerising. The production, for one, is masterful, picking out all of the melancholic detail. But the way the instrumental progresses goes beyond words. It's spellbinding.

One of Marr's most majestic guitar constructions of his career.

Moz's lyrics, while jarringly unfitting for such a beautiful composition, end the album with thinly-veiled humor to keep The Queen Is Dead from being overly serious and conceptual... A tongue-in-cheek lyric intended to ward off simpletons like M42K0 here. (Edited)

It's a musical sh*tpost! After writing such an amazing album, everyone expects a deep track to sum everything up, and instead we get a meditation on boobs with a great instrumental. I love Morrissey's sense of humor.
