Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)

Such a distinctive sound of 70s even though it only came out in 71. Excellent track on the album, only bettered by Wild Horses.
This is the Stand out track on Sticky Fingers. According to Wiki, "The entire track was captured in one take, with the jam being a happy accident; the band had assumed the tape machine had been stopped, and were surprised to find the entire session had been captured. Originally they were going to end the song before the jam started, but were so pleased with the jam that they decided to keep it in."
Pretty much sums up why I love this track so much. I think that you generally get great much when it's more spontaneous rather than months or even years in the studio refining and refining and refining. Not always the case but here, most definitely.
A highlight of the lp. Both Taylor and Richards shine here.
Mick Taylor's guitar work is really slick on this track. Latin/blues influenced. I also think Mick's vocals are particularly great on this. That in conjunction with the instrumentation makes the song feel very dirty and grimy.
My favorite Stones song and one of the greatest songs of all time. To improvise something as brilliant as the ending is unparalleled talent.
Keith and Mick's guitar playing on this song is just perfect. That alone makes this one of the best stones songs.
Easily the Stones' greatest deep cut if not their very best song ever. They really stretched themselves on this one and succeeded magnificently.
An usual type of song for the Stones. It starts off as a funky rocker and then settles into an improvisational groove. At around eight minutes long it doesn't out stay it's welcome at all. It's a brilliant track, thoroughly engrossing.
Classic
This is one of the best songs ever made. The stones have a lot of great guitar riffs, and this is the pinnacle!
