Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 87.9/100, a mean average of 87.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 88.6/100. The standard deviation for this track is 10.7.

A beautiful tune with great use of the mellotron too.
Gorgeous, pure elegance. This is bliss to the eardrums.
Absolutely gorgeous. One of Hackett's finest writing contributions, as the lyrics provide a dramatization of his entangled thoughts, drifting in and out consciousness while under hypnosis at the psychiatrist office. It makes sense for such a hypnotizing-ly beautiful tune. Many of these lyrics are quite clever jabs at the sometimes less-than-great state of medicine ("You'll have no trouble until you catch your breath and the nurse will present you the bill"). But perhaps the highlight of Entangled is final third, a stunning instrumental, featuring a heavenly chorus of vocals over Banks' entrancing work with the synthesizers. Simply fantastic from start to finish.
Such a hypnotic and beautiful song. It sounds kind of unsettling but peaceful at the same time.
Verse and intro are magical but the chorus is maybe a little bit too simplistic for Genesis' standards.
In my opinion, best track on its wonderful album and one of the band's best as well.
