"Chickamauga" is a scorching rocker, featuring one of Jay Farrar's loudest and most energetic guitar solos, that probably encapsulates Farrar's feelings about the looming breakup of Uncle Tupelo. "Chickamauga," he sings, alluding to the famous Civil War battle, "is where I've been / Solitude is where I'm bound."
