The song that started the tragedy...it's not a bad song. I kind of had this band on "marked and avoid" for many years after the Station fire, but I recently gave them a listen for the first time and they're a good band. That makes it even more tragic. This wasn't some random bar band that people didn't want to see. They didn't even NEED to light the pyro because people were there for the music, not the showmanship! Well written, above average rock tunes. People actually went to the club as fans of the band, looking forward to what would've certainly been a good show...I'll stop now, I'm getting kind of angry at the whole circumstance and really feeling for the victims even after all these years...but also somewhat for the band who lost one of their own and got the short end of the stick by fate (first with less reception than they deserved in the 80s, and then with the tragedy rested squarely at their feet). I know that sounds petty (the families of the victims went through far worse) but you can't help but feel bad for the band somewhat as well. This was the last song that 100 people heard. I'm gonna go review some other bands now :(

A lot of hard work happens in the background to keep BEA running, and it's especially difficult to do this when we can't pay our hosting fees :(
