Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)

This track is rated in the top 2% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 84.9/100, a mean average of 85.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 85.8/100. The standard deviation for this track is 12.3.

I like genesis but I'm not a huge fan, yet somehow this track is probably one of my favorite pieces of prog rock. From the soft acoustic introduction to Collins sterling singing. Their is a magic in this song which captures , for me what makes Genesis great.

A beautifully crafted track and arguably Steve's finest moment with the band. Sit back with no distractions, listen and enjoy.

Just gorgeous. Hackett's final incredible moment with Genesis. His acoustic playing all throughout is simply divine. It may be Banks who steals the show though with his worldly mellotron, adding a necessary feel of direness to the track. A lot of the songs on Wind & Wuthering are lacking lyrically in the "deeper meaning" that A Trick of the Tail knocked out of the park on nearly every track, but Blood On the Rooftops is an exception, making a cynical political statement about pushing out the tragedies and troubles that people don't want to see or hear. It's poetic. Maybe the best song on this album.

Best song on the album. Hackett, Collins, and Banks perfect the atmosphere of this track
