Two 80s icons still huge by the time 1989 rolls around decide to record a duet together and this is what they come up with? This is a lazy (not) love song which features tepid prince licks, some of his signature vocal affectations, a bland performance by madonna (until the last 20 seconds) and just no energy whatsoever. This is a tasteless, vapid dud.
