Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)

This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 89.6/100, a mean average of 89.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 90.5/100. The standard deviation for this track is 12.1.

Blackmore nails it, a great shred, with that classical arpeggio feel. Some eastern colors can also be heard.

Sheer bombast and actually not very heavy by modern standards.

This used to be my favourite track of all until I heard Blackbird by Alter Bridge, so second favourite!

This one used to be one of my favourites of all time. However, Dio's voice has gotten too kitsch for me, now. I still love that, but it's not an all time favorite anymore.

This song.. wow. It's in my top 5 songs of all time.. easily. Cozy Powell's drum intro is legendary, Blackmore displays his exotic playing with an incredible solo, Dio's vocals have never sounded better, and the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra gives it that epic touch.
