Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. One of my favourite songs of all time. The emotion in Cohen's voice is incredible, and the lyrics are some of his best, which is saying a lot. "I can feel you when you breathe" gives me shivers every time.
