What could have been an acoustic ballad turns out to fake out the listener (and that feeling creeps back into the track once more during the second half), turns into more of an emotionally-charged anthem of romance. The instrumentation is nothing particularly special, but if it had been stripped down further, the inspiration from which these lyrics are drawn would be more prevalent.
And it's true that Cook's lyrical ability is one of his highlights as a musician. Here, there are things of quite a sensual connotation, as he "crawls into her atmosphere" and hopes for her to "hold him in like she was made for him", and a celebration of how the narrator's intended audience exposes the best in him, examined through a lofty anti-gravitational atmospheric theme of sorts throughout. Because of her, he experiences some kind of ascendance to a more satisfied realm of optimism or bliss. That's what love should be about, no?

A lot of hard work happens in the background to keep BEA running, and it's especially difficult to do this when we can't pay our hosting fees :(
