Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 3% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 82.8/100, a mean average of 83.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 83.5/100. The standard deviation for this track is 11.2.

(I Know) I’m Losing You
Cover of a great Temptations track. I have to say that Norman Whitfield is one of my favourite producer / songwriters ever.
This is a great cover of a great song. Rather different to the original, as you might expect but equally good. The extension of the track to almost twice in length gave Rod the space to develop the song more. Love this rendition.
When I was younger I tended to look down on rock covers of great R&B songs, but this manages to be faithful to the spirit of the original and rocks too. One of Stewart's best vocal performances. Wood's rhythm work both rocks and is also appropriately funky.
Actually recorded by Faces. Rod at his absolute coolest and heaviest. We miss you, Rod. This song is the best of what he and Faces were.
