In the gallery of nearly bands St Etienne’s name is assured. A lovely listen right enough, but too derivative to be great. Massive Attack, Dee Lite, Madonna are all pleasant and correct.
Then you hear this track and your mind is blown. A shame that one swallow does not make a summer.
