Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 2% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 85.5/100, a mean average of 86.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 86.7/100. The standard deviation for this track is 9.9.

Really great song, it executes well everything it is aiming for, even though it is not aiming for the stars.
ELP made a lot of good music in their glory days, sometimes approaching on great. Then there's this, which is FANTASTIC. They pull back the often over-the-top unmelodic prog excess that they were known for, opting for an acoustic-driven piece, with just a little classic ELP keyboard weirdness at the end, highlighted by Lake's haunting voice. Just so satisfying to sit back and here a song like this and take a little break from the bombastic quirkiness of everything else by this band. As such, likely my pick for my favorite ELP song.
A fine song with that great guitar. The vibe of this is definitely jazzy. Astonishing, beautiful and so well played. 100
Firts song I ever heard of them, and even being a super great song, I am happy for having discovered songs from them even better.
