this song feels absolutely massive, i dont mean in length, but it just feels... big. and its just jeff with his guitar and some trumpets!

This track was a real grower not sure the first time I heard it
Now it’s one of my favourite tracks on the album
I don't know where to start with this song...it evokes tons of emotions.
"But oh comely, It isn't as pretty as you'd like to guess In your memory, you're drunk on your awe to me"
I think this line he is showing the amount of guilt he has built up, he's so overly fixated on this guilt that he fails to recognize the good times as if the good times were one giant lie, even if they weren't.
"There isn't such one friend that you could find here.
Standing next to me,
He's only my enemy
I'll crush him with everything I own."
This once again shows the amount of self hate he has from the guilt he feels, he's basically his own worst enemy in his eyes, he hates the person he sees in the mirror.

I also love this section, it brings mixed emotions. It's pretty sinister imagining Conjoined twins being eaten, somehow it still makes you feel at peace because they both care about each other so much and the way it sounds and basically they feel at peace going out together so they don't have to go out of this world alone, instead they go out with someone they love, and before they know it the suffering will end and they will be at peace again.
One of my top 10 favorite songs ever. Just a brilliant piece of music, one take, amazing lyrics and a true and raw feel to it. Amazing :)
