Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track has a Bayesian average rating of 77.1/100, a mean average of 75.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 77.6/100. The standard deviation for this track is 14.8.

Without doubt one of Sonic Youth's best and most unique songs. This song is quite possibly the most touching moment in their catalog, it tells the story of Kim and Thurston's marriage and its inevitable end (2 years later). Musically this song is perfect too, I believe what is happening is Lee is playing a melody by playing harmonics with a slide on, while Thurston plays a beautiful acoustic riff, and Kim collaborates with Lee with a second electric, making for a couple great jam sessions.
This is one of the most beautiful swan songs of all time, it signifies the end of one of the greatest bands the world has ever seen, and the end of a marriage. I'm astonished more people on this site haven't given this song any attention, truly underrated.
