One of the greatest songs ever written. I have no doubt that, if more people knew it, it would be in this site's top 100.

This is peak Tragically Hip. Seemingly piddling lyrics about a fake band and its fake songs are in fact rewardingly poignant and fraught with emotion. Musically, an atmospheric masterpiece with the lyrical intensity matched perfectly by the band's fervent display of talent and genius. After 18 years of fandom, this is my favourite Hip song.
