Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 88.1/100, a mean average of 88.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 89.4/100. The standard deviation for this track is 12.8.

Impossible to ignore title track. Without this track, the album would have been a footnote in history however, this track is just amazing.
It has its flaws of course. I’m not a fan of drum solo’s, maybe a 20 second one is OK but here we have 2 and a half minutes. Yawn! So, any track that’s over 17 minutes long will have but overall, it’s a phenomenal track.
Is it heavy metal? Not quite but there are elements of metal in here. Is it Psych? Most definitely. There’s also a big chunk of the blues in here.
A great jam of a track. To me it feels like the band are improvising the track as they go along each taking turns to impress. I’m sure that it’s not that way at all and that it was totally planned out but you get that feeling and that’s a good thing.
A definição de viagem!
Just because it's "SEVENTEEN MINUTES LONG" doesn't mean the song automatically sucks! This song happens to be quite good out of the "side-long" classics of classic rock, which are all very high quality songs because it takes a lot of time and effort to make a song that long, so naturally the artist makes sure it is good. Maybe IAGDV isn't the most interesting song per-minute, but it doesn't deserve a 10/100! Hate on long songs somewhere else, perhaps a website that devotes itself to frivolous, musically-elementary 3-minute pop songs?

One of the most drugged up songs of the late 60's.
only losers dislike this song.
