I understand you don't want your music to be labeled, but as soon as songs are released they are publicly owned. There are also worse things than being called "Gothic Rock". "Gothic" is a very creditable and tolerant subculture. The doom and despair in this song are striking. It is clear that we are very close to the total and inevitable apocalypse. Nothing wrong with it.

One of the darkest Cure songs. Also among the best.
