Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 86.8/100, a mean average of 87.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 87.8/100. The standard deviation for this track is 9.5.

I'm a big stickler for rhythm and songs that make you want to play them loud enough to be heard 40 miles away, but this is just in another league entirely. Talk about songs that make you cry, how about songs that are so astonishing you well up for the sake of it?
The fleetingness of human connection is turned menacing, foreboding, euphoric even on this. Everyone's running out of time get with someone on the dance floor, for fear that if you don't, it represents a sense that you're running out of time for life itself. Girlfriend Is Better borders on the high concept and cuts deep into the human pysche.
A blisteringly good live rendition that is so immaculate and complete, it's almost overwhelming to comprehend. This is just simply one of the most intense releases of sonic energy I've ever witnessed, not to mention the god damn suit.
2 stars alone goes to that "AS WE GET OLDER, AND STOP MAKING SENSE...MAKING SENSE, MAKING SENSE, MAKING SENSE" section, lyricism for the ages.
