Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 92.1/100, a mean average of 91.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 92.3/100. The standard deviation for this track is 11.6.

Masterful.
The sorrow conveyed by the muted trumpet!
PART 8 for me is the best part of Shine on...ahead of its time and even this time
O fim da loucura, triste e melancólico, mas sublime.
Parts I-V feel more satisfying as a standalone song, and maybe more moving and entrancing, but VI-IX is still an absolute 100/100. Moves between each part so smoothly. The way part 6 builds and builds on top of that warbling baseline like a man falling into madness is astonishing, and part 8 is just so fucking groovy. It's all among some of the best music ever made.
Absolutely a great track, but not as good as Shine part 1-5. Still a 90 out of 100 from me.
The last few notes of this song (and this album)are a hidden hommage to Syd Barrett: it's the melody of See Emily Play! Wonderful attention.
As good as the first parts, so a masterpiece this one as well :)
The conclusion, were it all goes around. Combining feelings from all previous songs creating an epic finisher.
Rick Wright's keyboards are so funky on this one!
