Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 92.6/100, a mean average of 91.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 93.0/100. The standard deviation for this track is 13.5.

Amazing song
Both versions are great, but Cash's cover just echoes this sense of pain, regret, contemplation and sadness that NIN's version doesn't. Cash's voice - and especially his whole persona and legacy - matches the song's lyrics and tone more.
Like Johnny Cash couldn't have done the song with Reznor's arrangement, but Reznor could not have done it with the Cash arrangement.
Just a beautiful song. And has one of the saddest music videos ever.
Best cover in the history of music. It's not Nine Inch Nails' song anymore.

Perhaps the most emotional song I know. The only contender which springs to mind is I See A Darkness by Bonnie Prince Billy, which Cash actually covered in one of his American albums.
The NIN original is also superb, but it doesn't hit me as hard as this one.
I'm sorry, but I just can't go back to the Nine Inch Nails version now that I've heard this one.

I agree with @TheHolyKiwi, the original song by Nine Inch Nails is much better than this one. That said Johnny Cash's version is really good, but will never reach the vibes of the original one.
