I think it showed that I am getting addicted to this site. Lucky the day it was down was a day I actually had a lot of stuff to do, but after I came home I was devestated by not being able to log in and look at someone's updated chart or post in the lounge forums. I held myself tightly, trying to get to sleep, muttering to myself "everything's going to be ok"...
i'm surprised the Facebook page for BEA wasn't updated. There's no other way to know what's going on when the forums are so iinterconnected to the site.
Apologies, I'll remember this for next time. Next Tuesday, there will be some downtime too as the database server needs to be brought down for an upgrade (hopefully, the final time that the site needs to be brought down this year). I'm trying to get all the maintenance out of the way before Autumn/Winter as they are much busier than the summer months, and the hardware needs to be upgraded so that the site can cope with the extra traffic.
