If you're going for obscure-ish kinda-indie stuff, then I recommend a band from Iceland called "Of Monsters and Men".
They've only got one album, called "My Head Is an Animal". It's pretty good. They have quite a bit of promise, methinks.

"Little Talks" has like 34 million views on YouTube. It also sucks.

New Train by Paul Pena!

It was recorded in 1973 but not released until 2000 but it's amazing. Jerry Garcia plays guitar on a few songs and it has the original version of "Jet Airliner" which became a hit for Steve Miller a few years after someone gave him an unreleased copy of Pena's version.
