I don't really like Oasis, Nevermind was time-changing but not a huge Nirvana fan, and I never really caught the appeal of Slint.

Yeah, Muse are godawful. It's a bit disingenuous to say "everyone loves" them though. Pompous, convoluted, insincere, show-off bands of their ilk tend to be disliked by large sections of the music listening community, particularly the sections that take music seriously.

EDIT: This was meant as a joke, though reading it back I can see how it could be misconstrued as snobbish pig-headedness. Whilst I am more than capable of snobbish pig-headedness, that was not the intention here. I don't really think that people who like Muse are less likely to "take music seriously".

In my opinion Muse is the ultimate music. Musically it's very good. Matt Bellamy is a genius composer combining rock with classical influences. That sounds really great. He's also one of the best guitarists of the 00's.

Not at all. As it is, it seems that there are more people embrace Muse than there are people that actively dislike or disapprove of them.

Ian Curtis' voice is just so flat, it's cringeworthy. The fact that people think they are one of the best bands ever is mind-boggling.
