It depends on each year. When compiling my 2007 and 2006 charts I left out some great albums but I've got stuck at 2005 and can't reach 50.

There are very few years where I'd want the capability to extend the chart to 100 entries. To be honest, 20 or 30 is sufficient for most years I find. I have no intention of filling up my charts with albums I don't think are great, but there are some years for which a 50 album limit is too, erm, limiting.

I don't intend to do that too. I just expected to be able to find 50 great albums to compile my 2005 chart (the reason for the expectation being overwhelming amount of good albums for years 2006, 2007, 2010 and 2012) but I cannot finish it because it seems I don't have 50 albums from 2005 that I can consider a favorite so I will have to leave it be, but it was a kinda disappointment after having full charts for succeeding years.

Well, since joining BEA I've discovered a lot of great stuff that passed me by over the years so perhaps it's just a matter of time before you're lamenting the exclusion of your 51st favourite album of 2005.

I agree with this idea, I'm following 2013 like a thing that follows things (mime?), having 100 entries would assist in that greatly.

Oh my god, I don't listen to nearly that many albums a year.

I still don't understand how you guys can have this many albums per year. I've only gotten over 40 on a handful of years so 50 is only a problem if I were to start adding live albums and compilations. But more power to ya!

It's not forgotten. It's going to happen at the end of April...
