Crooked Rain is alright. Better than Slanted and Enchanted in that I didn't feel the need to turn it off after one song, but I'm still struggling to understand how anyone could consider this one of the best albums of the 90's.

I never heard music by that two bands actually though I really want to try them.
Can anybody suggest some of them? _________________ If you're feeling sinister, Go off and Listen to Indie Pop

Music Has The Right To Children is probably the best place to start with Boards Of Canada, that's where I started and then listened to their other albums and some EPs, I recommend starting there to see what you think of them first.
As for Pavement, Slanted & Enchanted is probably a good starting point, I preferred it to Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain anyway. Usually I work through an artists studio albums in chronological order and check out their EPs later to see if I like what I've heard so far. _________________

I used to love Boards of Canada. Not anymore, but their stuff is decent anyway. I like Music Has the Right to Children less after each listen, but there are moments of brilliance there, and they're quite fascinating when they come. Other than that, I sometimes get bored. There's better stuff out there.
I can't get into Pavement, but they're decent too I guess.
