One of the more interesting ideas in cosmology is Olbers' Paradox: if there are an infinite number of stars in the sky, then why is the night sky dark?

Their must be finite amount of them. Also the distance between everything has to be taken into consideration. Many of the brightest objects in the sky are Galaxies and Black Holes as well. Although... I think what you are saying is every possible space in the night sky must hold a star. It is something interesting to think about then. I'll guess the answer has something to do with distance though.

Absolutely. Most of the light from stars has not reached us yet. Additionally, there are many stars redshifting faster than the speed of light, so we may never see them.
