I don't mean any of this to be offensive, I'm really glad y'all have awesome tastes. This was a poor assumption, I know, it's all taste: I like Explosions in the Sky's ambient sorts of things but not Eno's, it's all just opinion and I can't assume. I'm sorry if you took any offense to any of that. |
Hah, yeah Jman bascially groups any music that doesn't fall under the jurisdiction of Pop as "Frogger music" I don't take any offense to what you said, I was just curious as to know why. I think the xx had a solid debut, but failed to build off of that, while just treading the same waters instead of moving their sound forward. XTC are a fairly recent discovery for me, and they have many fantastic albums in their repertoire. And they start with X. As a side note, EITS is post-rock, not ambient. Anyways XTC>The xx

Thanks, I know some sites wouldn't be as kind as this. Really love the community here! The XX never did much for me. Glad you found XTC, and glad you're enjoying them. Also thanks for the sidenote because those two genres (as well as "shoegazer music") blurs together for me. _________________
