Absolutely one of my favorite post-punk records, along with one of my first. Great to see some of those early punk vocalists go on to these projects (Buzzcocks singer -> Magazine, Sex Pistols singer -> PIL, etc.)

Arthur Doyle Plus 4 - Alabama Feeling
Just finished this beaut. Wanna get to understand the significance of the title a bit better given the subject matter (wonky noisy jazz doesn't immediately summon images of Alabama for me, personally)

My mind was just blown for a second. I had no idea of the Buzzcocks connection, but I am crazy about Buzzcocks. I absolutely love them. I had no idea about this guy or his history with them. Sheer coincidence, I listened to Time's Up for the first time this morning, unaware of the background of it all, so I guess I have already heard him without knowing it. Anyway, cool connection nonetheless, and I'm really enjoying this album.
It finished up as I was typing, so I guess it's as good a time as any for Buzzcocks' Spiral Scratch EP. Not in the database...
