I mean I got off work at 10:30, rushed home and listened to this back to back to back and now it is 1am and I am in the amazing final track again. It's masterful! I must say I don't much like "Sedan Delivery" at this time and "Welfare Mothers" is playful and pretty good but not up to the standards of the other 7 tracks. As for the rest, yeah it's pretty fuxking awe inspiring! The acoustic first half is godly and the second half (especially Powderfinger and Hey Hey My My (Into The black) are so good it is beyond me to express right now. How have I gone so long without really truly getting into Neil Young? He is as great as people have been trying to tell me for years. _________________ -Ryan

Crazy obsessed with this right now. Most times I've listened to an album in one day in a long time. Darnielle feels like a mix of Dylan and Mangum in some ways, with a sense of humor better than either (not to say Dylan didn't have a sense of humor, just Darnielle is amazing at throwing irony into serious songs). This album is so amazingly simple and lofi but it just feels perfect, really good stuff. Definitely getting me more into the Mountain Goats other stuff too, I've come to really appreciate Darnielle's writing.
