These are all good:

Irrlicht by Klaus Schulze

Three Organic Experiences by Aglaia

The Golden Morning Breaks by Colleen

Glimmer by Jacaszek

Substrata by Biosphere

In Den Garten Pharaos by Popol Vuh

7614 by Global Communication

Tryshasla by Secede

Some is less ambient than others, but if BOC is ambient then so is Secede.

On a more serious note, would the Flaming Lips recent album "The Terror" be classified ambient to a slight degree?

No, not at all. I mean, they were probably influenced by the genre to some degree or another, but it's just silly to call it ambient.

My personal favorite ambient album is The Tired Sounds of Stars Of The Lid, don't think that's been mentioned yet.

I've been working on an ambient and Post-Rock chart, so thanks to all whose listed stuff I hadn't yet heard off.

I dont know if this album could be classified as ambient. Maybe it is more electronic

But The Field - From here we go sublime
Is great

My favorites are Future Days, Harmony In Ultraviolet, The Tired Sounds of Stars Of The Lid, Xuvetyn, The Disintegration Loops, and Ambient 1. Also if you consider Selected Ambient Works Volume one, Music Has The Right To Children, and Dragging A Dead Dear Up A Hill to be ambient, they would be there too.

Thursday Afternoon by Brian Eno

Perfect album, could listen to it all day.

And Their Refinement of the Decline by Stars Of The Lid

Love the orchestral vibe on this one.

That album is near perfect. So much better than "Endless Summer" (sorry folks).

Venice > both. (Endless Summer is the worst of the three though)

Im tempted to say that the best work Fennesz has done is the joint album with Sakamoto, Flumina. It's breathtaking.
