"Agitation Free's 2nd stands as one of Germany's finest instrumental rock albums of the 1970s and a classic for fans of progressive rock and Krautrock. Despite the fact that the group had problems keeping its cohesion at the time, these troubles never affect the music. 2nd presented a daring blend of Krautrock-type extended jams, laid-back attitude, and experimentation. The music remains very psychedelic in nature, more early Can than Faust. The presence of acoustic guitars and bouzouki emphasizes the easygoing nature of the music, along with Stefan Diez's elegant guitar soloing, while occasional free-form passages keep things on the edge. The opener, "First Communication," is pure Krautrock and the hardest-driving tune. It belongs on every anthology of German rock. Michael Hoenig's synthesizer experiment "Dialogue and Random" provides an interlude before the two-part "Laila" kicks in. The latter juxtaposes prog rock and fusion jazz sections with beautiful audacity. Side B of the original LP is a lot quieter. Birds chirp at the beginning of "In the Silence of the Morning Sunrise" and the pastoral mood carries over to the nine-minute "A Quiet Walk." "Haunted Island" ends with a midtempo rock number featuring a recitation of Edgar Allan Poe's "Dreamland." Filled with Mellotron and guitar jamming, it has often been hailed as a highlight by prog rock fans who had a hard time digesting the less immediate material, but it's actually weaker than what came before it -- without lessening the appeal of this album." Second listen. It's as good, if not better than his debut, and that means it's excellent. This guy wills be my favorite folk artist of the 21st century if it wasn't for The Tallest Man On Earth.

Have you heard the EP "The Sea And The Rhythm"? It's pretty gret, especially the sublime title track. You may also like Fionn Regan and Jose Gonzalez a lot. They aren't as great as Sam beam and Kristian Mattson, but they are both fabulous guitarists and pretty good lyricists. And Gonzalez really reminds me of Sam beam sometimes. _________________ -Ryan
Second listen, and my first and only KISS album. I just heard a short KISS marathon on the radio which they had since it's Paul Stanley's b-day this week. Honestly, I want to get through more KISS albums, so I'll get to a marathon of my own this week. But I might only get through one album today.

I was going to check that out after the album after this, "KISS." I want to listen to the studio versions of the tracks from "Alive" before I try Alive. I do this with every live album. But yeah, I trust your opinion about KISS because you have great experience in rock.
Plus, I think I should listen to earlier albums before I can truly understand Destoryer's acclaim and that "KISS quality" you've mentioned in one of your comments (you and I are the only two to comment on the tracks).
Anyway, I'm retrying the album on Grooveshark because the YT vids have cruddy quality, and Grooveshark's got much better quality than the vids I could find.
