Yes, I won't try to defend Aerosmith, but Van Halen's debut is great. Not better than anything Sabbath has ever done, though xD

My initial review when first hearing Paranoid early in 1971. F__K! followed by a shit eating grin. I then saw them live that summer in Toronto.

And I don't even particularly like those Aerosmith records (Rocks is alright).
