Ha Ha. I can see it bothers you that a band you like might be part of a U2 equation. Both The Clash and Joy Division were cited as major influences by the band early on. This is a fact. Have you heard U2's first album, Boy? You might like it. They used to rock at one time, believe it or not.

I know the Clash and Joy Division were huge influences for them, but they don't sound like the Clash+Joy Division, they sound like an adult-alternative-Clash, so I had to dumb the Clash down with Michael Bolton. I appreciate U2, especially the guitars and drums, but I was raised a punk rocker so I hate U2 by principle. I'll have to check Boy out, I've only got War and Joshua Tree
