Hey, listen to Bikini Kill. They're the riot grrrl band. I cannot fathom anyone not adoring Kathleen Hanna's vocals. Though I don't recommend either of their studio albums. They're good, but the songs kinda bleed together. Either CD Version of The First Two Records or their The Singles comp. The Singles comp is well-produced loud poppy rocky songs and it has Joan Jett on guitar on a few tracks if that appeals to you. But CD Version, which combines their Bikini Kill EP and their half of their split with Huggy Bear, is the one that is near and dear to my heart. They're not really very grunge at all though.
