I'm a big packers fan, and I'm a big time respecter of the pats and Brady especially. And I can say the patriots vs packers sb has been my predicted (also hoped for) matchup every year since at least '09. I hope it happens this year.

Really pumped up for this! Jordy Nelson may be my favorite receiver and Rodgers is without question the best quarterback in the NFC (and probably the entire NFL if I'm honest with myself (which I'm not)).
Call me a masochist, but I would have loved to have had another rematch against Eli in the super bowl. Looks like that's never going to happen.
On the other hand, the Ravens scare the shit out of me come playoff time. They just seem to be in our heads, and we always play our worst ball against them (especially Brady.) I was really hoping the Saints might have helped us out last night but no dice.

Five customized recs say we win, Mercury! ๐
Go Pats!!!
You're on! If packers win we shall reverse it.
My prediction is 31 to 27 packers win. _________________ -Ryan
The worst part about those Super Bowls is that if it wasn't for the most miraculous catch in the history of the NFL and a rare Wes Welker drop, the Pats in all likelihood win both of them. Either way it's nice to see Eli back to his normal 5 interception every few games self. Don't get me wrong though, he's obviously a different player in the playoffs, and you can't take away how clutch he was those two years.

Ravens don't scare me for a second. Their secondary is a mess and with the Pats balanced attack they'd have no chance to slow them down. Also, the Patriots defense is as good this year as it's been since their last Super Bowl win. And honestly, if Revis continues to play this well and they stay healthy, they might even be better. The numbers don't tell the story of how great they've been this year.
And on top of that all, unless they stumble a couple times down the stretch, the road to the Super Bowl goes through Foxboro.
I'm really excited for this weekend though, it looks to be their biggest test of the season. Even if they lose this one, you can't take away blowout victories against every other division leader in the AFC. I still think they are going to win though, they're just playing too well on both sides of the ball (and special teams for that matter).
Prediction: Patriots 31 Packers 24

Rodgers played possessed last night. We really had no answer for his ability to run & maneuver in the pocket. He really had our defense (& Belichick) in fits. It's ultimate respect when the hoodie decides to go for it on 4th & 3 on our side of the field. I'm impressed that we were able to hold you guys in the red zone. That at least made the game close although you guys were clearly the superior team yesterday.
What concerned me the most was our inability to run against your defensive front. Our offensive line just couldn't create holes and the few good runs were really more a testament to Blount rather than our line. ๐
Anyways, I think this is actually a "good" loss for us. As crazy as it sounds, I really didn't want us to win out, and this game gave us plenty to work on.
So I've been thinking about your recs this week, Mercury, as I've listened to stuff, and here's what I've come up with. All of them are stuff I think you'll really dig. Let me know what you think...
Yeah I know you've heard this, but I I think you should give it more spins. It takes longer than your average punk platter to click. Especially, since you like Girlfriend so much - Quine's playing on this is awesome.
something old. I think this is underrated Laurel Canyon rock. A heartfelt breakup album. (his relationship to The Queen of the Laurel Canyon - Joni Mitchell - had just ended.)
edit: Bonus Rec since I kind of cheated with The Voidoids...
I remember that my favorite two discoveries of the 2009 Pitchfork Music Festival was The Tallest Man on Earth and Sharon Van Etten. It was an incredible one-two punch to start the day. This is my favorite by her, but tbh I really haven't listened to the new one all that much. Because I Was In In Love is also awesome!
I hope the packers, seahawks, patriots and broncos can be pretty healthy at the end and even though i guess my heart would rather see the broncos and the packers in the final, my mind or some other part of me is stronger and really want to see the patriots with a healthy gronk play a healthy seahawks team in the final game.
Historically the eagles are my favorite team but only by a little bit so that wouldn't be too bad either although i wish they still had d. jackson.
The Browns make me want to throw up. I never really gave a damn about who our starting QB is; Money Manziel was sort of destined to be Couch 2.0 and Hoyer had his run. I just wanted it to be someone who could win the damn game in the heated situations, but looks like no one can on our roster as far as QBs.
And my second favorite team is the 49ers and... well they haven't been doing too well either as far as I know... _________________ ...and for dessert!
