New Pinkshinyultrablast album called "Everything Else Matters" is an interesting shoegaze listen. It came out in late January.

Loving this. Possibly my favorite shoegaze album post-2000. Granted, I'm only on my second listen, but this is beautiful. _________________ follow me on the bandcamp.
The new Pinkshinyultrablast was really good, and a really pleasant surprise. I thought they had completely stopped making music considering their last release was an ep from 2009, but they managed to do what LSD And The Search For God hasn't in actually making a full album. 2015 has already been solid for shoegaze.
Also, I know this album isn't new to anyone at this point, but holy fuck am I digging I Love You, Honeybear. Some of the best straight up songwriting I've heard in a long time on that album, Chateau Lobby #4 gives me early Scott Walker vibes in the best possible way. Anyone who has neglected to listen to that album ought to give it at least a shot.

So this is wonderful. It's pretty much what you'd expect from the Punch Brothers (progressive bluegrass), but it's really well-executed. Instrumentally it's downright impressive (especially the mandolin work) and there's a nice variety of interesting, intricate pieces with good old foot-stompin' Dust Bowl bluegrass. _________________ Progressive Rock
Tense, paranoid indie folk from Constellation. The singer's voice is so eerily similar to Spencer Krug I'd swear they're the same person. But yeah, this started kind of suspect with a melodramatic children's choir bit, but quickly became really engaging. It's got a sort of theatrical flair to its tensity, but it pulls it off really well.
Yes. That's fucking brilliant! It's definitely filling me with that special obsession where you want to hear it every chance you get, walking to and from work, at lunch, at home. Its just a beautiful album that has managed to worm into my emotional center. A beautiful gruff earthy folk/country album that is just great! It's not quite Tallest Man On Earth but as a total obsessive of TTMOE, this Jake Xerxes Fussell album is acting as a nice stop gap until mr. Mattson releases his next album. _________________ -Ryan
Some might be interested. Only one track in, but this one fantabulous track sounds like a field recordings lover/hauntologist's wet dream.
EDIT: excellent melancholy ghost ambient. Making my '15 chart at #2 or #3 so far for sure. Only Matana and Aine top this so far.
What a fantastic year this is promising to be.
Just ordered this based off of a couple of the samples i have been able to scrape up. thanks for the tip, i think ill love this _________________ Alt Right meme game on point
