Oh okay here Hazey have you heard this piece of power pop goodness?

Spilt Milk by Jellyfish

Listening to it right now and will edit a review later.
EDIT: It's a very flashy but fun album to experience. I will admit, it got a little weird around the last third of the album, but it's still fun nonetheless. It's nice power-pop that I've seen influence other bands entire careers (looking at you McFly).

Anyway, Cuba, here ya go:

Tryptych by Demdike Stare

Marvelous. Total immersive darkness, as you put it. I don't know, track 5, for one, is downright sickening, it actually disturbs me, like some kind of torture, a very distincive phrase being shout at my ears over and over and over by a harpy or something trying to get away my secrets. I feel like I have to be in a very specific mood to listen to this album, it's not exactly a pleasant experience, but sometimes you just want to get hit, so it's great to keep Tryptych in my pocket for whatever time of the night that is. Thanks for that.

The Distant Future by Flight Of The Conchords

Unless you have heard it....

And I'll Review your EP below

wait, was this a comedy album? Haha um, well from a musical standpoint I'm not sure how much I actually enjoyed it, but as a comedy album it was pretty enjoyable and actually hey the music was pretty alright for an album where I'm fairly certain the "music" was hardly the focus. Might revisit this for a chuckle at some point ๐Ÿ˜„

Ok hi Bruno! Glad you enjoyed the Demdike Stare album. And yeah god that shit is soul-torturing in the best way...
anyway, new album, hm...
I think I remember you like Lil Ugly Mane? Here try this

Commercial Mouth by Jar Moff

I've come across Jar Moff during one of my many tape music excursions but for some reason never bothered to check out any actual albums until now. Really great, deeply textured environments where it seems like vague silhouettes of our earthly existence are hiding behind layers of some alien force that seeks to remove us further and further from our humble roots, and I'm just letting it happen. Needless to say I loved it. Thanks again secretdad!

Oh whoa this is cool. I've actually been getting into Maurizio Bianchi a bit recently and he's different but still has that sort of 80's filthy tape vibe, and it's cool and all but this I think is more like what I was looking for. Yeah wasn't familiar with this at all but I will rectify that.

uh I guess here's another one?

I don't know what to expect from this, but if it's a rec from brun, I'm probably going to assume something tropical. It's a very interesting album so far. I like it. I'll edit in my proper thoughts later.
EDIT: this record is definitely not what I expected. I mean, it had those moments of tropicalia, but it was definitely leaning towards a more experimental feeling. I can't really explain my feelings for this. It wouldn't give this justice. I don't think I entirely get it yet, but hopefully with future listens, I will be able to fully appreciate it. Thank you, brun, you're the best. ๐Ÿ˜„

Oh wow this is cool. A nice mix of loud crunchin business and stuff with more breathing room. Really like the guitar tone throughout. I am really digging this thread, this is definitely another recommendation that I will continue playing into the future. Like this one I got it on slsk from the same person I grabbed a laddio bolocko album from so when I heard that first track I was like "oh hey this is gonna be loud and rockin" whch I'm totally down for, but then it goes all shrek on the onion and shows some new layers right away, I love that.

I want more cool recs so I have to go again

crap it's not in the database and I can't add it rn but Hazey pls give a listen to
Franรงois Virot - Yes Or No

sorry there's still so many things I need to add but maybe you might dig that?
