Holy crap, JMan's step-brother/brother-in-law is surprisingly down to earth.

This. I was fearful at first, expected drama, but it's pretty alright so far. Congrats on not imploding the forum, JBrotherinlaw.

Like how do you find the unsigned artists these? Is it just what people come across on bandcamp? Is there a reasonable amount of people going out to very small venues here? Actually... I think the last answer might be yes as people must still be visiting them Shocked

Is there anyone here who spends time finding unsigned artists?

Occasionally, yeah. Just going on bandcamp and finding all the new releases with cool album art's shown me some interesting stuff, hasn't all been great, but it's interesting nonetheless. Do the same thing at my record store usually, band's selling an album for 25 cents that's just a blank CD with sharpie on, if they've bothered to make it interesting in anyway, I'll sometimes pick it up.

He tends to be pretty mellow about things. Despite that, we have the same taste for YT videos and Flapjack.

I don't know if all of these are unsigned, but Milk Duct Tape, 100 Onces, obvious choice for my faves, Disco Digitale, GGreen Dragonfly, Toby Jackson, Dead Remedy, Hidden in the Sun, Screen Vinyl Image, and m,any Bandcamp artists that reside in the depths of BEA deserve a label.
