Well. I may have been misleading (Intentionally). I'm actually writing a paper for school on how people react differently to depression, and I needed some honest responses. In exchange for all your support and recommendations though, I am going to listen to every single one of these albums. And thank you, I might need these albums someday in the future. *tips hat*

Different Class by Pulp

Blood Sugar Sex Magik by Red Hot Chili Peppers

Don't know how anyone could still have the blues after listening to these. Make sure to include that in your paper.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers are actually the leading cause of depression. Anthony Kiedis is an epidemic.

Slanted & Enchanted - Pavement

Ocean Beach - Red House Painters

These albums helped (or are helping) me get through a pretty rough time.

Anyone have any suggestions for music that helped you during a depressive streak? I'd appreciate the recommendations.

Listen to the Blues my friend. It helps identifying with someone else's pain...

West Side Soul by Magic Sam

It Serves You Right To Suffer by John Lee Hooker

Hound Dog Taylor And The Houserockers by Hound Dog Taylor

When depression struck I would always start with something sad but beautiful, like Nico.

Chelsea Girl by Nico
Then some morbid lps by Cure or Joy Division. Then the real tough stuff: Suicide and Pop Group.

Y by The Pop Group
This would be the low point. If I survived that (and obviously I did) I would continue with Real Kids. Reggae, Reggae.

The Real Kids by The Real Kids

And finally - always - Frank Sinatra. Especially one Track: Circles. The ultimate live saving record.

Trilogy: Past Present Future by Frank Sinatra
