Genuine love at first listen moment about 10 minutes ago thanks to the debut LP from Leeds' Finnmark! (their exclamation mark, not mine). It's available here for those interested indie-pop souls... and especially recommended to SuedeSwede, Patman and SingingPeasant who I think will all love it to bits...
More cool hazy hybrid fidelity electronic from Ekoplekz. Really digging this one, I highly suggest people who like music where beats and melodies are rendered via electronics listen to this song

Cheers! Going to jump straight into it now, I have high hopes! _________________
You're most welcome, fella. And when you've finished that I'd wholeheartedly recommend giving this a spin too. Another mini-epic (and in fact concept) indie-pop LP that will get bugger all attention, partly due to all the references to towns in East Anglia. _________________ 'Reggae' & t'ing Folk 'n Stuff SHAMELESS RECORD DEALER PLUG

Ka, who has put out two of the best albums hip-hop albums of the past few years (Grief Pedigree, The Night's Gambit), re-teams up with Preservation, with whom he put out the excellent (but far too short) 1200 B.C. EP a few months back. This might be Ka's most minimalist release yet. By critics, he's often grouped with Roc Marciano and $am Hill, as all are New York rappers who favour quietly sinister raps and no-frills beats, preferring to leave clutter at the door and try to come up with something potent and focused every time they record, but Ka has always been a bit more abstract and aloof than those two, less ghetto documentarian and more omnipresent street poet. (There are, of course, many sonic similarities, and the three have all collaborated with each other with varying degrees of frequency, so the link makes a lot of sense.) I still prefer Roc Marciano, who might just be the most vivid writer currently active in hip-hop, but Ka has definitely carved his own lane with his oblique rhymes, and by subsequently putting them to music that is somewhat cleaner than the gritty fare served up by the other two, and possibly even more streamlined. And, as I said earlier, this is perhaps his most minimalist release yet (where Roc Marci's music is often practically beatless, this is often quite literally beatless). It's dope and you should listen to it because it's dope. Sample below:
Among a load of other interesting releases, this came out today and it's amazing. Shilpa Ray is a tiny little Indian-American woman living in New York. With a harmonium as her instrument of choice, she churns out a woozy rock sound that balances the noire of Nico with NY's more historically unsavory raw punk side. You need not look further than song titles like Nocturnal Emissions and Pop Song for Euthansia to know this will be a lyrical roller coaster. Highly recommended. _________________ http://jonnyleather.com

Really really excellent doom metal. Slow, plodding, huge, powerful, everything you want a doom album to be, this is it _________________ Progressive Rock
