To Moderator Staff: Can you unsticky Keith's original thread and sticky this one? Like the original thread which is now sadly vacant, this is a continuation of the community’s user listening logs. Here’s the original description: GeevyDallas suggested a user submit and update a listening log for a week at a time. If done right, it could provide some interesting insight into a user's listening peculiarities, provide you some recs, provide you with a new source of recs, provide you with a new method of searching for music, etc. Like the listening club for current albums, each user should express interest, volunteer, and queue up in this thread. As users come forward and complete their logs, I'll update the OP accordingly. Like the listening club for current albums, users will create their own threads (use heading BEA ULL ). Ideally, threads should be updated every day to provide that day's listening log, but if you've got some "real" things to do just play catch up later. Logs should span seven full days. Users can choose whether this means a calendar day or their waking hours (e.g. deciding to put an album you listened to past midnight as a listen for the previous calendar day or the next calendar day). For our Aussie/NZ friends living in the future, your threads will overlap a day with the non-savage users. At the minimum, logs should include the musician name, the album/song name, some brief thoughts on the album, and the starting time of your listen. I think it would be more fruitful to include other information, like year released, your personal rating, album running time, how many times you've listened to the album/song, how you found the album/song (especially if it's new to you), etc. It might be best for the first few users to set the precedent on what's included. Be creative. With that said, I’ll cover the first week (like Keith did) and we can see who has the time for the first month of May (or onward) to volunteer for the project. I really liked the idea of this, but I think it sort of lost its charm when you had to have the limelight for a week. And after that week, that was it. I'm really looking forward to this music diaries sub-forum anyways.
