Cruised Half.com on ebay this weekend and bought the SACD of The Moody Blues - Every Good Boy Deserves Favour, the first 2 Eno albums - Here Come The Warm Jets and Taking Tiger Mountain, and the Mcdonald & Giles self-titled album, all CDs at really good prices.
Also bought Gert Emmens - Triza off Amazon.uk and two Bill Nelson albums - Fancy Planets and Modern Moods For Mighty Atoms from Sound on Sound (UK again).
Due to my recent trip to the Canaries it's been a while since I've been a'record huntin' (well, two weeks to be precise), so decided to venture off to Farnham earlier (supposedly Surrey's most haunted town - I think some scenes from Gladiator were filmed there and there's a department store that looks like it's stuck in the 70s). Also saw Dadawah's Peace & Love for sale, but still can't stand that record so if anyone wants it send me a message and I'll get it for you. Anyway, picked up today:
58/100. Original Rough Trade press. In bloody top nick too. Amazingly they had 2 copies of this, the other was a fiver less and had a fair bit of spine wear. Knocked £3 off this one though 'cos I also bought:
Wrote about this in Patman's musical diary, didn't realise I'd find a copy so easily. Bit put off by the fact it's on red vinyl (I mean, how many Jamaican coloured vinyl LPs can there be? Sod the gimmicks I say), but again in top nick.
It was meant to be a trip to buy my boy some new shoes. Alas Sound Machine in Reading had a huge new drop of used reggae LPs, and given my current penchant for all things showcase I picked up:
