Made that pop-punk chart I'd mentioned being interested in doing.

Like Pizza, Hate Home, Miss Girl - History of Pop Punk

It's going to be a while before I unlock yearly charts on BEA, so I made a 2015 chart on RYM instead. I appreciate recommendations!

I decided to make the Emo chart I've been working on for awhile public. It's less of a source for hidden gems, more of a resource for people who want to know my favorites in the genre. Here it is

Pretty solid; has some bits I also listed on my list which is always good to see. Some stuff I don't really dig, but that is a given.

Alright I finally got around to updating my Punk chart, which needed some love. Still my favorite chart of mine <3

Just completed a major update to my 2015 chart. Loads of changes. A vinyl copy of Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper brought me some new appreciation. Bjork's Vulnicura finally clicked as an emotional masterpiece. Divers breaks into the top 10. Daniel Romano jumps onto the chart. Busdriver jumps way up the chart.

And this.

Well, I think my 2015 list is nearing completion, and it may have the worst top ten you all have ever seen. Let the hating commence.

I honestly didn't know Dance Gavin Dance were even together anymore. Used to really dig them in high school. Will have to check out that album.

Just FYI it's a different singer now. Actually their 3rd different lead.

They started with Jonny Craig, arguably the most talented of the guys that they had, but a really not good human being who's one of the many caught in sexual harassment issues atm, he went on to be in a band called Slaves as well as the supergroup Isles and Glaciers if you remember them. He was the singer for "Whatever I Say Is Royal Ocean", "Downtown Battle Mountain", and "Downtown Battle Mountain II".

After him was Kurt Travis, who seems like a much more standup guy but I'm not as big on his voice on the DGD records. His solo stuff is pretty good and his other band, A Lot Like Birds, is alright. He was the singer for the self titled and "Happiness".

The new guy is Tilian Pearson, who goes by just Tilian. He was in a prog rock band before but I haven't checked them out, to be honest. I think he gels with the band better than Travis did but not as well as Craig.

I knew Jonny Craig was no longer with them, which is primarily why I stopped listening to them in the first place. Didn't realize they were on a third singer though.
