Been obsessed with The Divine Comedy lately. Reading John Ciardi's translation and suddenly understanding a lot more of it than I ever did before.

Just finished reading Andrew Marr's "The Making Of Modern Britain", moving on now to its follow up "A History of Modern Britain". Very good and engaging, far more fun to read than academic history I find.

Just finished Whirlwind by John Ferling, a great synopsis of the American Revolution. Been reading quite a few books on that era recently, it fascinates me.

But on the lighter side, I just started "A Man Called Ove" by Fredrik Backman. I stumbled upon it in the bookstore and it turns out it's pretty popular, especially in Sweden where it takes place and where the author is from. My version is obviously translated to English. Only about 100 pages in but it's quite delightful so far.

Don't understand a sodding word, apart from Harri = Harry. I think it's about some bloke missing a train bound for Llanfwrog, though I can't be sure. Overall, a disappointment.

I really enjoyed the last three books I read: "Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Brontรซ, "La Casa de Los Espiritus" (The House of the Spirits) by Isabel Allende and "I Am Malala" by Malala Yousafzai.
I'm reading "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" by Carroll atm; Carroll's way of writing is beautiful imo.
