Sure is. I heard it for the first time a couple of months ago and kept meaning to get it but something else always came up instead. Just stuck the record on now (Mr. Bongo pressing from this year) and it sounds particularly well mastered - in fact the soundstage is probably the most vibrant of any Brazilian LP I own apart from my 2nd press of Transa. Mr. Bongo could teach Plain, Runt and 4 Men With Beards a thing or two about reissuing MPB landmarks.
I just bought a reissue of Samba Esquema Novo not too long ago, and I think it was by Mr. Bongo. I'll check on that. If it is, I'll agree that they know what they're doing. It sounds a hell of a lot better than my digital version.
Also, finally got around to Wake Up Your Mind yesterday. Fantastic album. The horn section was incredible. _________________ Doubles & Conch

Which seems to have sold out everywhere but in Leeds it would seem (although not now)
Also saw a repress of Bruce Haack's Electric Lucifer which I was sorely tempted to get but I couldn't justify the ludicrous price tag (£24) on something which Honest Jon's will probably have for half as much at some point. Now in Nando's having a burger an' ting. _________________ 'Reggae' & t'ing Folk 'n Stuff SHAMELESS RECORD DEALER PLUG
Nice vinyl buy in Oxfam today for £10...they were asking for £30 last week but apparently someone told them it wasn't worth anywhere near that so they dropped the price. It's the limited 'special classical pressing' which is supposed to be a higher quality pressing than the standard version with both records in VG+ condition. Some light shelfwear to cover with a few creases to spine but all in all the cover is VG. Currently none for sale on Discogs but the Median price is £35 so the Oxfam pricers were probably right in the first place...oh well.
5CD set. Collects five of his original albums, in card LP replica sleeves! Features "The Golden Age Of Wireless" (1982), "The Flat Earth" (1984), "Gothic : Soundtrack" (1986), "Aliens Ate My Buick" (1988) and "Astronauts & Heretics" (1992).
