The Strokes, Jeff Buckley, Iceage, Rachmaninoff, Shostakovich. Bach, Prokofiev, Nick Cave, the Black Keys.
For now they're mostly who I listen to. Others:Lust for Youth, Bowie, Iggy Pop, Gorillaz, Arctic Monkeys, Lust for Youth, Pink Guy, Ratatat, Arcade Fire, Tame Impala, Pulp, the Doors, Muse, Dead Kennedys, Declan McKenna.

not necessarily in this order. Honorable mentions: The Who, Floyd, Hendrix, Radiohead.
I don't really know how to rank artists that aren't bands so I left them off the list, but I really like Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye, and rap artists like Nas and Biggie.
