That was certainly an interesting way to start the morning โ especially given I had to listen to it twiceover and read a little more into the artist considering this is a new look to me. Honestly, musically itโs utterly superb. I canโt remember the last time I listened to the kind of approach Molina takes on this record, so it kind of hit me rather well. The first listen through my speakers (while I was taking a shower) was great but revisiting it around lunchtime with a headset was way more rewarding. I donโt tend to enjoy folktronica records this often so this was a rather pleasant surprise. Best thing I have heard in a good while.
As for the Dryjacket album, I liked it, it was some interesting kind of math-y emo music, which was a cool take on the genre. There were some really good highlights, "Misused Adrenaline" was definitely my favorite on the album, probably had the catchiest chorus on the record. The album didn't blow me away but it was certainly enjoyable.
Not like I haven't talked about this album before or anything!
As I mentioned in the BMT, Darkspace III is great and one of the best albums to come out for 2008. Itโs a standout atmospheric black metal album that as I relisten to it (right now, so Iโm kind of cheating) I am happy to say nothing has really changed.
This actually surprised me a slight bit. I thought Unleash The Archers' last album was good, but I think it suffered from being a pretty standard power metal album. Not necessarily a bad thing, because they did it well, but it felt like kind of a run-of-the-mill power metal album. This, I think, is an improvement on their last album. Yes, it still has everything you'd expect out of a power metal album, but it's quite well done, and just like the last album, the guitar-work is impressive.

Thanks for this, I loved it and still am loving it. Not the last listen for sure. I can't think of a track I didn't enjoy, favourite was maybe the first, Strangle The Shadows, but that's ought to change with repeated listens.
This was...strange. It danced somewhere between pretty decent to kind of bad. It's like it couldn't decide whether it was serious or not. There were definitely some moments that were good, and it was well-produced, but there were some really strange moments that kind of took me out of it.
I'm not sure I really get it. It wasn't bad or anything but there were a lot of guitars and chord progressions and some cool sound design but like. Why. I didn't outright dislike it either, I don't think its bad. This one's probably just an "okay" for me. Sorry ๐

I enjoyed it, but it didnโt feel innovative or original enough to be considered a classic. 3,5/5, maybe 4/5 if it ends up growing o me. It really felt like the European Bitches Brew. Any way, good album with great highlights m, The first three tracks felt really strong, then it got quite redundant.
