Even if you don't like a lot of their music, they are a band I definitely recommend seeing live. I'm assuming though given how ridiculous $170 is for a concert ticket it has to be a resale site ticket? I've had great seats for them both times and probably paid $120 combined.
Anyway, if you can find a way to get in for a reasonable price, do it. They're great live. |
Yeah, I figure, I don't go to many stadium gigs, I may as well go. In Australia, though, for a band of their stature $60 tickets are a non-entity - I wish! These weren't resale, they were straight from the main seller, and even the cheapest tickets were about $100, which is about average - Arctic Monkeys tickets were that much when I saw them a few years ago. |
Ah, Australia, that provides some clarification. I have heard there's often times a huge difference in ticket prices compared to the US. Although tickets in the US are getting steeper and steeper too. _________________ Attention all planets of the solar federation: We have assumed control.

I'm seeing them in NC mid-next month. Cost me $99 plus the Ticketmaster fees for my ticket.
I would never pay that to see someone I only just like, but FF are one of my favorite artists and I've never seen them live before with exception of their live videos. And their live videos are almost always fantastic. I also don't think I would pay that much to see anyone by themselves for a second time - a farewell tour being a possible exception.

Sorry, just to be sure, are these US dollars?
I've seen the Foo and many other high ticket bands. The most I paid was$125 for scalped U2 tickets. Almost all bands I've seen at that caliber start at $35 to $50.

By the way, that's still $133.19 USD... damn that's pricey. Then again, they have to either rent or fly all their shit halfway across the world.

I could be wrong on the source but I'm pretty sure it was a portion of Iron Maiden's Flight 666 documentary talking about the expenses of going to other countries/continents, Australia being particularly pricey. _________________ Attention all planets of the solar federation: We have assumed control.
