Double-sided hits

This topic is probably only of Interest to people well over thirty but I always found it interesting. In today's age where people buy their music digitally, there's no such thing as a double sided hit. It was only in the age of the vinyl single that there was such a thing. A double sided hit was a hit single where both the A- side and the B-side became chart hits. And sometimes they're known as a double- A sides. I think the Beatles were most famous for this. Sometimes even both the A- side and the B-side were both number one hits. But that was rare. Anyway, here's a couple of the most amazing ones. Penny Lane / Strawberry Fields Forever......The Beatles Wouldn't It Be Nice / God Only Knows....Beach Boys It's Too Late / I Feel the Earth Move.....Carole King We Are the Champions/ We Will Rock You.....Queen What other ones do you know?

I was only just playing that rod Stewart album last night and I never knew about maggie may being an original b-side until looking the info up about the album last night.
